Our Story

What Happened Then to Make Now a Reality

When O.L. Jack White moved his family to Daytona Beach in 1954 from Lexington, Kentucky after selling his family of flour mills, he saw an opportunity to make a change in a community that was ripe for growth. Hotels were needed to house vacationers from around the world who wanted to walk the white sands of "the world's most famous beach." His ideals were simple: start with a vision and finish with sticking to your word.

Today, we still follow those ideals. At the Jack White Land Company, we're dedicated to making your home buying and selling experience about YOU. With unique backgrounds, valuable real estate experience, and a commitment to community, our team is determined to craft a unique standard of service in real estate.

Whether you are buying or selling, our agents of change have exceptional market knowledge of Daytona's classic neighborhoods and up-and-coming hot spots.

Our Team

Kelly White, Sales Team
Kelly White founded the Jack White Land Company in 2007. Kelly has been involved in local Daytona Beach Real Estate since 2004, with the development of the Wall Street Lofts at 208 Wall Street, Downtown Daytona Beach.  Today, Kelly is the broker and CEO of the Jack White Land Company.

Kelly was born and raised in Daytona Beach. She obtained a music degree from Stetson University in DeLand, Florida, and a Master's in Music Education from Capital University in Columbus, Ohio. She recently earned the Stetson University Young Alumni of the Year award, as well as the Volusia-Flagler Young Leader award. Additionally, she was named an Influential Woman in Business in the 2009 Volusia-Flagler Business Report.

Ms. White currently serves on the Daytona Beach City Commission. Her focus and desire are to create stable Daytona Beach neighborhoods, increase local entrepreneurship, and introduce multi-modal transportation options. She also works as the pianist for the Drive-In Christian Church and serves as the co-founder/director for Daytona Improvement Gardeners (DIG). Kelly believes that committed citizens make prosperous communities, and she is dedicated to doing her part.

Jill Pennington, Sales Team
Jill Pennington joined the Jack White Land Company in 2010.  Jill is a Daytona Beach native.  Jill graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor's Degree in Sports Medicine.

After working in the healthcare field, Jill transitioned to Real Estate in 2003.  While working as an appraiser, she watched the progress and development of the Jack White Land Company and just knew she had to be involved.  She was drawn to their philosophy, core values, leadership, and passion that transcended into an up-and-coming "niche" Real Estate model.   Her experience in Real Estate includes over eight years as a licensed appraiser. She has gained a well-respected reputation of honesty and integrity in the real estate profession, and Jill carries that same sense of duty into her role as President of Sales for Jack White Land Company.

Jill enjoys Downtown Daytona because it provides her with the urban lifestyle she loves: safe streets for biking to work, social interaction and connectivity, beautiful waterways, and unique cultural events.

Heather Morales, Sales Team
Heather Morales joined the Jack White Land Company in 2011. Heather is a Florida native, but attended The Ohio State University where she completed a Bachelor's Degree in Communications.

Although Heather is new to our team, she has over a decade of Real Estate experience and has been pursuing her passion for helping people find the perfect home for the past ten years. Not only does Heather love connecting with and serving our clients, but she also loves the challenge of an ever-changing Real Estate market.  Heather's track record proves her ability to keep up with this fast-paced, demanding market; she was a member of the top-producing Real Estate team in the Daytona Beach area and was also awarded as both an outstanding customer service representative and sales consultant.  We are excited to have such an accomplished agent working with us!

When she isn't working in Real Estate, Heather enjoys calling downtown her home-she loves that she can walk to the beach and all the fun local restaurants.  Heather spends much of her free time golfing, fishing, and being a member of the Young Professionals Group.

Camille Seiler, Marketing
Camille joined our team in 2008.  Born in Santiago, Chile and raised in the San Francisco Bay area, a love of cities and urban life runs deep through Camille's veins.  Camille has lived in Daytona Beach for 3 years now and is currently a student at UCF-Daytona where she is studying photography.

Camille loves admiring the unique architecture of Downtown Daytona Beach, documenting the historical properties, capturing urban revitalization as it's happening, and interacting with local residents.  Her interest in and love for Downtown, along with her amazing talent as a photographer make her the perfect candidate to market our properties.

In addition to working for the Jack White Land Company, Camille serves as the president for the Student Photography Association at UCF-Daytona and works for Cinematique Theater in Downtown.  When she isn't working or practicing photography, you can find her eating lunch or grabbing coffee with friends at one of the many fun spots on Beach Street.  Camille believes that Downtown Daytona is an up-and-coming place to be, and she's excited to be a part of it.

Stephanie Hawk, Maintenance
Stephanie was born and raised in Marietta, Georgia and moved to Daytona Beach in 1986.  She's been caring for and maintaining our properties for one year now, and we don't know what we'd do without her!  Stephanie loves plants and the environment, and she really values the fact that Jack White Land Company is continually searching for ways to stay green and keep the earth clean.

Stephanie is the proud mother of 7 children and loves her family dearly.  She's an avid gardener and enjoys drawing and writing in the few moments of free time that she can find.  Stephanie loves Downtown Daytona because there's so much to do, but her favorite spot is the Angell and Phelps Candy Factory--she's done the tour six times!

Erin Bellomy, Summer Intern
Erin joins us this summer with a desire to learn and get some hands-on experience with urban development and revitalization.  A graduate of Rollins College in Winter Park, Fl, she holds a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Studies.  Erin loves urban renewal because it encourages community connectedness, environmental stewardship, and human interaction.  She's excited about Jack White Land Company's vision to move people back to the urban core and revitalize Downtown Daytona Beach.

Erin has lived in Daytona Beach with her husband, Phil, for 3 years now and loves discovering all the fun things to do in our town.  She enjoys running on the beach, exploring Daytona's historical neighborhoods, cheering on the Daytona Cubs, and indulging in an original Stavro's pizza.  Erin also serves as a volunteer assistant coach for the Embry-Riddle women's soccer team, participates as a member of Christ Community Church, and volunteers with Daytona Improvement Gardeners (DIG).

About Daytona Beach

Daytona Beach is full of stories and memories which have helped build its deep historic character. Let us take you through a short history of our city and why we believe it's such a great place to live, work and play today. By the end of this, we believe you will want to be a part of this great change and move into your future.

Gilded Ages Ago
Daytona Beach was a Gilded Age city back in the day. Robber Barons such as Henry Flagler, John D. Rockefeller, Ransom Olds and others strolled the streets of Daytona Beach. Even Warren Harding, the 29th President, owned a summer home on Magnolia Avenue. Philanthropist Charles Burgoyne built public spaces like Riverfront Park and the Burgoyne Casino (an open air dance hall overlooking the river).

A Town Dog
Brownie, the town dog in the 1940's was a dog whose home was literally downtown. The merchants would feed him, and he became a favorite for the local residents. A topiary and burial plaque exist today at the south end of Riverfront Park.

An Island in the City
City Island and Jackie Robinson Ballpark share a long history together.  In the early 1900's, Henry Flagler offered to buy the island and build a grand resort, but the city turned him down.  The island went on to become a baseball stadium and civil rights landmark for the first ever integrated baseball game played by Jackie Robinson on this field.

The Beach and The Race
The beach and racing. Of course it is impossible to talk about Daytona Beach and not mention the phrase, 'world's most famous beach' or NASCAR, the multi-billion dollar industry which began in 1947 and finds its roots on the shores of Daytona Beach.  The Daytona 500, the "Super Bowl" of NASCAR, is held here every year and has made Daytona Beach a hot brand name.

A Decline
The decline of the core areas was not unique to Daytona Beach.  In the 1960's and 70's, attention moved away from the old neighborhoods and downtowns and into the malls and the suburbs on the fringe. A slow deterioration led to less interest in and the neglect of the original neighborhoods and commercial areas.

The Comeback Kid
A movement back to the core has begun. High gas prices, going green, road rage and a host of other trends are pointing back to the urban centers of America. Cities and downtowns have a broad appeal to both young and young-at-heart professionals, young families, empty nesters, retirees, and those seeking an urban lifestyle.  Downtown Daytona offers accessibility to parks, schools, fine dining, culture, galleries, boutiques, recreation, libraries, book stores and of course, the Halifax River all within walking distance of each other. Those who live in the core of Daytona Beach define it as a wonderful mixture of natural beauty and urban convenience.
